Our advice
Your data carriers - such as hard drives, tapes, DVDs, CDs etc. - contain critical business data. Even by erasing the content, it always holds data. The classic channels (household waste collection, container parks, and others) do not have a sufficient guarantee of confidentiality to prevent the misuse of abandoned carriers.
Why demagnetise?
We use the same procedure and machines as the U.S. government to demagnetise tapes and hard drives. During each step of the process, the machine shows that the discs have actually been made illegible. This ensures that your confidential information is completely destroyed.

We demagnetise both on-site and at Merak itself. At the end of the process, we will return the data carriers to you for reuse, or they will be destroyed by incineration.
